Dear Wildwood 3rd-5th Grade Parents and Guardians,
We look forward to welcoming 3rd-5th grade students back to campus next week!
Below you'll find some updated information about onsite testing, including an updated process for submitting your forms. As a reminder, you can also find the below information, forms, daily checklist, important links, and FAQs (including how to find your child's cohort) on our Elementary School Distributed Learning webpage at wildwood.org/eledistributedlearning. DUE TODAY, FEB. 3: February Schedule Survey Please make sure you complete this survey today to let us know whether your child(ren) will be onsite the weeks of Feb. 8 and Feb. 17. If we do not receive a form for your student, your student will remain offsite for these two weeks. The next opportunity to join onsite will be for the two-week block beginning Feb. 22. You will have the opportunity to reevaluate your choice every two-weeks.
Reminder: You may not split onsite/offsite between weeks—students will either be offsite or onsite for the entirety of each two-week period. Thursday, Feb. 4 and Friday, Feb. 5: Onsite COVID-19 Testing for First February Start Date All children returning onsite will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test result by Friday, Feb. 5 (for 3rd-4th graders) and Monday, Feb. 8 (for 5th graders). To make this easier for families, we will provide onsite testing via cheek swab. Click here to see the schedule, updated forms and reminders. When you arrive for your test, please make sure you have your completed page 1 and 3 of the PMH Laboratory forms and a copy of your child's insurance information.
Please Note: On page 1 of the PMH Laboratory form, be sure to add your email address and ensure that "Wildwood School" is listed in the client section (at the top of the page).
If your child tests at Wildwood, you will not need to submit test results. A consolidated report will be sent to Christina Kyong, associate head of school and lead pandemic coordinator. Click here for instructions on how to register for PMH Laboratory's portal to access your student's results. Results are typically available within 48-60 hours.
Future COVID-19 Testing for Students During the School Day As we remain onsite, future testing for 3rd-5th grade students will occur weekly and will take place during the school day while children are on campus. The cheek swab testing will be done by PMH Laboratory. Click here for the schedule for onsite testing for February. If you choose not to have your child tested on campus, you will need to submit documentation of a negative test to Adriana Gonzalez by noon on the Friday before each onsite week.
Required Forms:
Drop-Off, Pick-Up, and Wellness Check Reminders: Thank you for adhering to the drop-off and pick-up times for your student (by grade, class, and cohort). Students may only be picked up at the designated pick-up time for their class. If you come early, you may be asked to return at a later time. These staggered times will help us adhere to physical distancing guidelines and avoid crossing cohorts. If you need to arrange to pick up your child at our designated alternate time of 12 p.m., please contact elementaryfrontdesk@wildwood.org.
We also thank you for having your student's wellness check completed before you arrive on campus. Having your student's placard, with full name, grade, and class, visible at both drop-off and pick-up will help streamline the process for all. Onsite and Offsite Student Schedules Click here to see the schedule by class (please note the changes for holidays and special programming). During onsite days, 3rd and 4th grade students who are offsite will be supported by their associate teachers. Their special schedule for the at-home portion of these days will be shared on their class page in the Learning Management System (LMS).
Along with asynchronous work, 5th grade students who are offsite will be able to join their classmates via Zoom for portions of the day, if they choose, following a schedule that classroom teachers will share via their class page on the LMS. If you do not want your onsite child to be seen on these Zoom sessions, please notify your classroom teacher and Assistant Director of Elementary School Sarah Simon. Updated Contact for Questions Please contact K-5CovidInfo@wildwood.org for any elementary-related COVID-19 questions. Thank you! Wildwood School |
