Dear Wildwood Middle and Upper School Parents/Guardians,
Hello from Wildwood's Athletics Department. We hope you are well and finding ways to be active to stay healthy in both body and mind.
While there is still little that is definitive on inter-scholastic competitions for the remainder of this school year, with the lifting of the Regional Stay at Home Order, we're excited to be able to reinstitute many in-person and Zoom training sessions for our athletes, as we had planned prior to the county-wide shut down in December.
For in-person trainings, we follow all of the Los Angeles Department of Health and Safety Youth Sports Protocols, which include mask-wearing, wellness checks, the use of outdoor space, frequent handwashing/hand sanitizing, and staying physically distanced throughout the workouts.
Below you'll find an outline of opportunities that student-athletes can participate in right now: Mondays:
Tuesdays:
Wednesdays:
Thursdays:
Saturdays:
If any of the above trainings interest your student, please reach out to us at athletics@wildwood.org, and we'll provide you with practice times, locations, and answer any questions you may have.
Across our leagues, officials are actively working on a schedule of competition for Cross-Country, Track and Field, and Golf, as there is a possibility of safe competition with these sports. As we get concrete information, we will report out.
We're excited to be able to offer these opportunities for our athletes with the safety protocols that Wildwood has implemented, keeping our community's health of utmost importance.
In the meantime, know you are in our hearts and minds as we weather this storm as a Wildwood community.
Go Wolves!!!
