Dear 6th Grade Families,
The next Visit Day for 6th grade, Wednesday, March 24, will be a morning of building connections and community (both indoors and outdoors).
This day will be device-free—students will not need their laptops, nor books. We have scheduled handwashing/hand sanitizing and bathroom breaks at each transition point. Groups will be assigned to specific bathrooms to use throughout the day.
To help prepare, please review the information below with your student. Attendance for March 24 Visit Day If you did not complete the survey (due March 1) letting us know if your student will be joining us, then your student will remain offsite for this day.
Students must complete COVID-19 testing prior to coming to campus Wednesday, and we need documentation of a negative test result before then. If your student tested at Wildwood last week, you do not need to submit test results. Otherwise, please provide documentation of a negative test result to 6-12covidinfo@wildwood.org no later than today, March 22.
All students, whether they attend the visit day or not, will attend their Block 4 and Block 5 classes on Zoom. UPDATED: Student Groupings and Drop-Off/Pick-Up Schedule for Wednesday, March 24 Students have been divided into new groups (Group A, B, C, D, E) for this Visit Day. Click here for your student's new group and drop-off and pick-up schedule.
Students will be dropped off at staggered times. If you have students in different groups, please drop off both students during the earlier time slot. Students who are early will be instructed to stand outside, physically distanced, and will wait until their group is scheduled to come onto campus. During pick-up times, families who have two students in different groups should come at the later time. Before You Depart for Campus Click here for a checklist of reminders before departing for campus including reviewing the daily parent/guardian checklist, completing the wellness check, drop-off/pick-up procedures and placards, and what to pack with your student. Please reach out to me, Middle and Upper School Pandemic Coordinator Billy DuMone, or 6-12CovidInfo@wildwood.org with any questions.
We look forward to seeing your students!
Warmly,
Jaimi Boehm Director of Middle School Wildwood School |
