Dear Upper School Parents and Guardians,
Our teachers spent last Wednesday getting the campus ready for our full middle and upper school's return, and the energy was wonderful. We're all so excited.
As always, there are many logistics to keep in mind, and we appreciate your reading through these details ahead of Thursday. Attendance Students will either be completely offsite or onsite (Thursdays/Fridays). If you did not complete the survey (due before spring break) letting us know if your student will be onsite, then your student will remain offsite for the remainder of the school year.
Students who will be at home will continue to attend classes via Zoom. Teachers will have microphones and iPads to help establish a hybrid classroom for students in person and at home. This will also allow teachers who will be Zooming into classrooms to be able to see and engage with all onsite students as well. We will not be recording the Zoom sessions. If you do not want your student to be seen on the Zoom call, please notify me and your student's Advisor. Classroom Locations and Mitigation Strategies Faculty and staff will be helping to direct students to the designated classrooms and restrooms for their grade. Click here to view a map of those spaces. You can find the list of mitigation strategies for the middle and upper campus here. Daily Procedures, Reminders, and What to Bring Before You Depart for Campus
Student Drivers and Parking If you indicated on the March survey that your student needs parking, please make sure to submit the application form and refundable deposit ($50).
Wednesday, April 21: Parking Walk-Through for Students Driving to Campus (2-2:30 p.m.) At 2 p.m. on April 21, 11th and 12th graders who have requested parking will meet in the gallery. There, Gerald Rios and Jose Chavarria from the facilities team will distribute parking keycards, followed by a walk-through with students at Westside Towers. Please have your student bring the application and deposit on Wednesday, if you haven't submitted it already. COVID-19 Testing During the School Day and Registration with Monarch Diagnostics Inc. If your student tested at Wildwood on April 14, you will not need to submit test results. A consolidated report will be sent to Christina Kyong, associate head of school and lead pandemic coordinator. Results will be delivered to parents/guardians (following HIPAA guidelines) via text, email, or mobile app within 24 hours of testing. Correction: The correct app to download to receive your student's test results is called "Sick," not the Curogram app. You only need the app if you want to download a PDF of the results.
If you choose not to have your student tested on campus, or you missed the April 14 drive-through, please be sure to provide documentation of the negative test result to 6-12covidinfo@wildwood.org by noon on Tuesday, April 20.
If you did not register with our new lab partner, Monarch Diagnostics Inc., and your student will be tested onsite during the school day, please complete the one-time registration using a mobile device (if possible). All testing will be covered by the Cares Act or private insurance. There is no out-of-pocket expense or deductible for this testing.
