College To Do List for Juniors

• Challenge yourself academically. Take honors in your areas of strength.
• Stay involved in your extracurricular activities.
• Keep a journal of your reflections in your community involvement and your work at your internship.
• In October, sign up and take the PSAT at Wildwood.
• In January, sign up online to take the SAT I, SAT II subject tests, and the ACT in the spring.
• Study for the SAT and ACT. You can do better on these tests than you think!
• Visit the College Center every week.
• Begin to research potential colleges.
• Start your portfolio if you are interested in majoring in the visual arts.
• Search the web for scholarships.
• Attend meetings with college admission representatives in the College Center.
• Attend college fairs.
• Visit colleges with your family and/or friends.
• Consider going on the Wildwood East Coast College Trip or visit colleges on your own during spring break.
• Attend grade level night meetings at school.
• Attend the Case Study Night.
• Start thinking about a topic for your personal essay.
• Begin your résumé and add to it as necessary.
• Continue to grow in your independence.
