Gateway & Graduation Presentation Workshop
8:00am - 3:30pm
Session Fees: $125.00 per session for each participant includes workshop and materials, parking fee, continental breakfast, and lunch. The fee for schools or individuals that are an affiliate of the Coalition of Essential Schools is $100.00.Portfolios and exhibitions provide an authentic, in-depth gauge of student learning. Students can demonstrate their knowledge and growth as a learner over time as well as how they process and then apply information. This workshop details the portfolio process that leads up to Wildwood’s Gateway Exhibitions in eighth and tenth grades and Graduation Presentations by seniors.
The workshop is geared to both middle and high school educators and school advocates and includes:
What is authentic assessment? How do we demonstrate it? Narrative assessment process Portfolio requirements - design and implementation Presentations and exhibitions Narrative assessment and the college application process Student demonstrations of Gateway and Graduation Presentations
