> July 6-8: Wildwood Middle School Summer Theater Program Presents "Once Upon a Mattress" (middle and upper campus)
Performed by middle school students and directed by Gustine Fudickar and Corey Wexler, this musical version of The Princess and the Pea, Princess Winnifred is an ungainly, brash girl competing for the hand of Prince Dauntless, whose domineering mother Queen Aggravain has declared he must marry a "true" princess before anyone else in the kingdom can marry. Performances are Thursday, July 6 at 7 p.m., Friday, July 7 at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Saturday, July 8 at 1 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children (faculty, staff, and children under the age of 5 are admitted free). > July 12-15: Wildwood Elementary School Summer Theater Program Presents "Beauty and the Beast" (elementary campus)
Bring the whole family to Beauty and the Beast, the classic story of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped in a spell placed by an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Performances are Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13 at 7 p.m., and Friday, July 14 at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m in the Elementary Campus Commons. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children, and free for faculty, staff, and children under 5. No reservations are required, and you can pay at the door with cash or a check.
