Annual Giving
October is Annual Giving Month at Wildwood. The focus for Annual Giving is 100% participation. The campaign starts at the beginning of the month and every effort is made to receive everyone’s pledge by December. Pledges are paid by the end of May in the following calendar year. Parent participation reaches between 95 and 98% participation regularly and Wildwood trustees, faculty and staff hit 100% every year!
The Role of Annual Giving
Wildwood is quickly emerging as one of the top progressive schools in the country in large part because students and teachers have the necessary tools to excel in and outside of the classroom. Annual Giving provides immediate unrestricted financial support for the current school year resulting in the best teaching tools and classroom equipment, the latest in technology and hardware, support for our athletic and arts programs, sustained financial aid for socio-economic diversity, and increased opportunities for faculty professional development. These are direct benefits to our students right now and enhance their lives on both campuses everyday.
Why Support Annual Giving?
The funds raised through the Annual Giving campaign are unrestricted and support the current operating budget, underwriting faculty salaries and strengthening the school’s position to attract and hire the best teachers in the country. These gifts are reported in the School’s financial statement as income received and expended during the school year. Annual Giving contributes 8% of Wildwood’s yearly budget.

- Contributions are tax-deductible. Your donation helps Wildwood and may reduce your individual tax liability.
- The level of participation in Annual Giving is a key factor in receiving foundation and corporation grants. Therefore, it is important to Wildwood to maintain the highest percentage participation possible. Your gift can actually attract additional gifts from outside funders.
