Living in Los Angeles

There is no place like Los Angeles, and there is no one Los Angeles, as any Angeleno—native or transplant—will tell you. It’s an enigmatic city, filled with the complex histories, cultures, and arts of diverse people. It is energetic, creative, engaging, and beautiful.

Wildwood School is located in West Los Angeles. Employees live in a range of neighborhoods—most a relatively short distance to myriad cultural attractions and beautiful beaches. If you are considering a move to the Los Angeles area, we suggest looking into the neighborhoods and cities of Baldwin Hills, Brentwood, Culver City, Leimert Park, Marina del Rey, Mar Vista, Palms, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, West Hollywood, and Westchester, all of which offer public transportation options via bus and Metro.

Project Highlight

A Day at the Beach (With a Purpose)

Students truly embodied the Habits of Mind and Heart on a community-building beach clean-up trip. Turning information into action, students collected data along with trash, and used “Clean-up Data Cards” to help Heal the Bay.
