THROUGH THE YEARS

1971: Wildwood is founded by Belle and Stefan Mason with a group of like-minded educators and parents. Original campus opens on Overland Avenue near Pico Boulevard.

THROUGH THE YEARS

1978: Wildwood holds its first All School Meeting (ASM). Students build their confidence and public speaking skills as they share with the school community.
 

THROUGH THE YEARS

1992: Board of Trustees signs a long-term lease for the former Betsy Ross Elementary School campus on Washington Place in Culver City.

THROUGH THE YEARS

1990s: Marcia Capparela, longtime Wildwood employee (left), and Hope Boyd, former head of school (right), lead the opening ceremony of the annual Jog-a-Thon.

THROUGH THE YEARS

2004: Wildwood graduates its first senior class of 20 students.

THROUGH THE YEARS

2005: Students take the first International Community Involvement (ICI) trip to Vietnam. Since then, 442 Wildwood students have traveled to eight countries as a part of the program.

THROUGH THE YEARS

2010: Inaugural Wildwood Cup takes place, an annual faculty/staff versus alumni soccer tournament.

THROUGH THE YEARS

2019: Wildwood Institute for Incubation and Entrepreneurship launches, where students work on entrepreneurial projects intended to disrupt the status quo and transform society.
