Alumni Spotlight: Olivia Mell '05
Posted 06/09/2017 10:03AM

When Olivia Mell graduated from Wildwood in 2005, the performing arts department at the new middle and upper school was barely beginning to blossom. Upon returning to campus eleven years later, she was blown away by the talent and production value of the fall musical, The Sound of Music.

Just as our performing arts department has evolved, so has Olivia. After graduating from Wildwood, Olivia went on to Brandeis University, where she studied Theater Arts as well as English and Anglo-American Culture and Literature. After college, Olivia spent time working in New York and Massachusetts, where she wore many hats as an actor, teacher, and singer/songwriter. Now, in addition to releasing her first solo album, she is combining her experience as a performer with her love for teaching by launching her own business as a private audition coach for children.

As someone who forged a unique career path that united her diverse passions, Olivia exemplifies the Wildwoodian concept of both/and thinking with her expansive and comprehensive approach to projects both personal and professional. Be sure to check out her debut album this summer!
