Wildwood School is recommending that all eligible students receive the most recently available COVID-19 vaccination and booster.  We will follow the state of California guidelines if they move to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the series of required vaccinations.  Please feel free to reach out to Christina Kyong, Associate Head of School and Lead Pandemic Coordinator if you have further questions.

Wearing masks indoors and outdoors is not required but is strongly recommended. This CDC resource is a good reminder on how to best wear a mask. Please choose high quality masks to wear such as KN95s or KF94s.

Voluntary PCR Testing: We will continue to offer PCR testing on a voluntary basis as a service for our employees and students on the middle and upper campus (Wednesdays). On the elementary campus, students will no longer be tested, but employees can get tested on Wednesday mornings. Rapid antigen tests will remain available for individuals who have symptoms during the school day. 

We will continue to use rapid antigen test on any symptomatic student or employee to determine whether or not the symptomatic person should stay or leave campus.

Hand sanitizer is located at every entrance and exit and in each of the classrooms. We will continue to reinforce handwashing and sanitizing throughout the day. Good hand hygiene can help in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, as well as multiple other illnesses.

We will continue to regularly clean and sanitize high traffic areas and classrooms throughout the day. Disinfecting wipes and cleaning products will be available for use in classroom spaces.

HVAC systems on both campuses have been upgraded in recent years, with an entirely new system installed at the middle and upper campus in summer 2020. Recommended filters and air circulation recommendations have been and will continue to be used throughout the pandemic.

It is imperative that if your child is feeling sick or was exposed to COVID-19, your child must stay home. Your making this important choice helps to mitigate the spread of the virus.
