Grandparents and Special Friends Day 2025

On Grandparents and Special Friends Day, elementary students gave their guests a glimpse of life at the Wildwood elementary campus. The morning's program in the Commons showcased classroom learnings with presentations and songs. Kindergarteners sang a song about family, then 4th graders shared their research skills and creativity with their Solar System Travel Agency brochures. Second graders explained their class' community job managing the Wildwood Post Office before 1st grade sang a song of friendship and community. Fifth grade students detailed the process of creating self-portraits as part of their recent visual arts showcase. The presentations concluded with a rousing medley of 1960s songs sung by 3rd grade. After the program, students took their special guests into their classrooms where they played games, created family crests, decorated memory boxes, and more. And of course there was a trip to the souvenir photo booth!
