Angel. This committee coordinates efforts to support and offer services to Wildwood families in times of need. Volunteers may deliver meals to families, provide lunches for students, or assist with rides to school and after-school activities.
Community Connection. Create a seasonal community-oriented and inclusive space for elementary families, including identifying seasonal celebrations the community wishes to highlight and supporting major school events (coordinating with associated committees as needed).
Dinner for 12 Strangers/Mixer for Many. This popular Wildwood tradition is designed to bring diverse groups of parents, faculty, and staff together in either an intimate setting. Dinners and appetizer parties are hosted simultaneously by Wildwood families.
Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon. From menu to décor to set-up and clean-up, parents help organize this annual appreciation luncheon for faculty and staff.
Faculty Treats & Eats. In appreciation of our teachers’ efforts at conference time, parents provide a light breakfast on conference day mornings at both campuses. This committee helps with set-up, clean-up, or organization of the food from parents.
Family Service Day. Join other K-12 families for a day of service and exploration somewhere in Los Angeles.
GardenPalooza. This beloved, carnival-like event celebrates Mother Nature through hands-on learning activities, games, and more. The committee plans various art and garden projects, coordinates food and beverages, and supports the afternoon’s activities as needed.
Jog-a-Thon. A beloved tradition at Wildwood, the day is filled with fun, fitness, and community as students run laps around Big Yard, while their schoolmates cheer them on. Parents/guardians help with class banner preparation, set-up, and lap counting.
Kaleidoscope. A celebration of culture, community, and connection where K-5 families share and experience the music, craft/art, clothing, food, or other folkways of their culture, heritage, or identity and the ways that various cultures in our community intersect or overlap. Middle and upper school students also participate with their Spanish or Mandarin classmates to share relevant learning.
Multicultural Community Dialogue. Plan and host visiting or in-house thought leaders for discussions and learning about relevant topics about culture and identity.
Multicultural Family Story Night. Plan and host an evening of connection and learning as four different families from the K-12 community share stories about an important aspect of their identity.
Parent Groups (Athletics, Music, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts). These Parent Groups boost spirit and energize the community by organizing and publicizing concessions, installations, gallery openings, exhibitions/shows, concerts, championships, sports fest, musicals, plays, celebrations, and helping departments with other needs.
Room/Grade Rep. Room and grade reps are a resource for new and returning families. This volunteer is a friendly "go-to" person who fields questions about school life, helps navigate all things Wildwood, and is a visible and important guide for families, new and old.
Spirit Wear. This committee organizes opportunities for the Wildwood community to purchase Wildwood gear and boost school spirit.
Spring Has Spring. This committee helps plan an annual spring social event for K-12 parents.
Wildwood Fund Volunteer. Volunteers serve a critical role in ensuring a successful campaign for the Wildwood Fund by engaging with fellow parents, participating in phone-a-thons and drive activities, and encouraging robust community participation.
