Wildwood Fund FAQ

The Wildwood Fund is Wildwood’s top annual fundraising priority. Each year, all members of our community (parents, faculty, staff, Trustees, alumni, grandparents, and friends) are asked to make a tax-deductible gift to Wildwood. The 8-10 percent (or more) of our budget revenues raised through the Wildwood Fund ensures our school has all the necessary resources (faculty, facilities, Flexible Tuition, technology, and program support) to provide each child with an exceptional Wildwood education.

Through the Wildwood Fund, you have the power to direct your gift to the area of the school you value most:

• Directing your investment towards where it’s needed most.

• Nurturing self-expression and imagination through music, performing, and visual arts.

• Coaching our students in skill development, healthy habits, and sportsmanship.

• Integrating the values of DEIB into all dimensions of the Wildwood experience.

Yes. While all independent schools raise money, the ways in which a school allocates these gifts is unique and speaks to an institution’s priorities. At Wildwood, we have always prioritized program and people. Gifts to the Wildwood Fund make an immediate impact this school year on faculty and staff recruitment and retention, academic programming, technology, the unique socioeconomic diversity of our community, and more.

It is a vote of confidence in our school, our faculty, and our educational mission. A high Wildwood Fund participation rate is evidence that everyone in our community shares in the effort. This supports our philosophy that we must all work together to provide our children and the future generations of graduates with the best possible education.

Of course! Wildwood respects the privacy of our donors and provides anonymity to those who request it. However, know that your philanthropy has the power to inspire others and can be a critical endorsement of our school. The choice is a personal one, and whether you choose to give publicly or in private, your gift to the Wildwood Fund is deeply appreciated.

All members of our extended community are asked to participate each year. We are grateful to receive support from Trustees, current parents, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, grandparents, and friends of the school.

Yes. We kindly ask that every family at the school share the responsibility of the Wildwood Fund. We strive for 100 percent participation, regardless of the size of the gift. Please give any size gift that is meaningful to you.
