Internships are vital for the next generation of leaders, so much so that they are a requirement for graduation and part of the school day for juniors and seniors. Through this signature program, students take the lead in their own learning by going beyond Wildwood’s walls to explore careers of their own interests, develop social skills for a professional setting, and build their college resumes.
To see the mind and heart of a Wildwood student develop outside of the classroom is something special. The internship program gives students invaluable real-world experiences and allows them to continue discovering themselves and what they love doing.

Meaningful Experiences with Real-World Exposure
As interns, Wildwood students arrive ready to collaborate and work with a team. Students interested in science have interned at the UCLA Department of Cardiology and the Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine at USC. They’ve also used their STEM skills at Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute, one of the world’s leading labs on greenhouse gas emissions. At the Natural History Museum, students have assisted with research on the dinosaur or BioScan projects. Those more artistically inclined have found opportunities in dance, music, or the business of entertainment at sites such as the Odyssey Theater, Nailed It! Media, and Biscuit Filmworks.
The Metro Expo Line is two blocks away from the middle and upper campus, enabling students to pursue their passions and interest and internships throughout Los Angeles.
