Alumni and Parents of Alumni Reconnect at Reunions, Alumni Visit Day, and "Empty Nest" Events
It's been a busy year for the Wildwood Alumni Association—the Class of 2013 celebrated their 5-year reunion, the Class of 2008 celebrated their 10-year reunion, and the annual Alumni Visit Day and panel for Senior Institute students brought dozens of alumni back on campus. Parents of recent graduates also gathered for an "empty nest" cocktails and comfort food event.
"Alumni On The Road" in NYC
Wildwood's first "alumni on the road" event brought Director of College Counseling and Alumni Relations Amy Abrams, Advancement Assistant for Events and Alumni Relations Paige Verdun '13, and Senior Seminar Teacher Tassie Hadlock-Piltz to New York City to connect with east coast-based alumni.
Alumni Visit Day 2018
Alumni Visit Day brought former students to the middle and upper campus to reconnect with faculty and staff, find out what’s new at Wildwood, and discuss their journeys with current students. The alumni started the day with lunch, reminiscing with faculty and staff, followed by remarks by Amy Abrams (in her newly expanded role as Director of Alumni Relations) and Landis Green.
Current Wildwood juniors and seniors then met in the gathering space for an informative panel with alumni Sarah Bales '14, Isis Lecaro Catalan '14, Khamil Riley '17, Anthea Rosenbaum '16, and Morgan Vaughn '14. Students could ask the alumni anything about the college experience to gain valuable tips and wisdom from those who have recently made the transition from Wildwood to university. Curious upper school students asked about time management, friendships, jobs, workload, and how Wildwood set them up for success in their first years of college.
Thanks to all of our Wildwood alumni for sharing their time and incredible experiences with our community!
