Transportation and Directions

As a member of the West Los Angeles community, Wildwood School is concerned with preserving the quality of the environment and with being good neighbors. The City of Los Angeles restricts transportation to and from our campus. We require that everyone in our community respect the city’s conditional use permit (CUP). This permit requires us to mitigate the impact our school has on neighborhood traffic and parking that is caused by vehicles entering and leaving the school.

Elementary School:
Compliance with the CUP requires that all elementary school families follow the drop-off and pick-up procedures:

  • Enter the parking lot entrances off of Mitchell Avenue
  • Do not block the sidewalk or impede traffic
  • Do not drop off students on Washington Place or Mitchell Avenue and allow them to walk on to campus alone

Middle and Upper School:
Compliance with the CUP requires that all middle and upper school students do one of the following:

  • Be in a carpool with two or more middle or upper school students per car
  • Ride a public or school-sponsored bus or shuttle
    • Wildwood offers bus service from Hancock Park, San Fernando Valley, and Pacific Palisades/Santa Monica. Bus fees are $2,890 per school year
    • Participate in the free morning and afternoon shuttle that goes between the elementary campus to the middle and upper campus
    • Public bus routes can be mapped at Santa Monica Blue Bus routes #5, #14, and #15 have nearby stops
  • Student drivers can drive and park in off-site parking
  • Bike or walk to campus
