Bring Your Own Laptop Program for Middle and Upper School Students

Bring Your Own Laptop Program for Middle and Upper School Students

Dear Incoming Middle and Upper School Families,

At Wildwood, we believe in the use of technology to engage, expand, and supplement student learning across the curriculum. Beginning in middle school, we strongly encourage the use of digital technology through Wildwood's Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program.

While the choice of device and platform depends on your family's preferences and needs, our technology department provides these recommendations to ensure the chosen device will provide the functionality your students need to successfully perform at each grade level.

In addition, all students are expected to use technology appropriately as outlined in Wildwood's Technology Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Family Handbook. Please see the following link for more information on Wildwood's technology policies, FAQs, and BYOL program.

Student Technology Orientation: To ensure students are ready for the school year, our technology department will be meeting with students during their orientation dates in August to demonstrate how to properly set up laptops, access their school email, log into our Learning Management System (LMS) to access class pages, and more. More details about orientation will be shared closer to the date. Note: Please have students bring the laptop they’re using for school at the time of their orientation.

  • Aug. 21, 2023: Orientation for 6th Grade Students + Their Parents/Guardians

  • Aug. 22, 2023: Orientation for New 7th and 8th Grade Students + Upper School Students

We look forward to seeing you soon. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Take care,

Mark Gutierrez
