This fall, our Wolves showed what Wildwood athletics is all about—teamwork, resilience, and pride. From big wins to personal milestones, our athletes made this fall season one to remember.
Girls Volleyball
Continuing their tradition of excellence, our girls varsity volleyball team once again advanced to the CIF playoffs. A special shout-out to senior Milan B. ’26 for reaching an incredible milestone—her 500th career point-scoring hit! The team defeated Valley Christian of Santa Maria with a sharp 3-0 win in the first playoff match-up, then, in the round of 16, gave a spirited effort against a tough Malibu squad, getting knocked out by a score of 1-3. With only two graduating seniors and a middle school squad that also advanced to the playoffs, the future is bright for girls volleyball
Boys and Girls Cross Country
Our boys finished 2nd overall in the Coastal League and qualified as a team for CIF. They were led by Devin J. ‘27, with Aiden B. ‘28, as our 2nd runner, who came in 12th place overall, also earning a medal. At CIF prelims, Devin ran a personal best of 16.02, coming in 5th place and advancing to CIF Finals. Best of luck to Devin as he picks up the baton of excellence for our Running Wolves on Nov. 22! Our girls team also ended the season on a high note, with Julia K. ‘27 coming in 12th place and earning a medal at league finals.
Boys Beach Volleyball
The Wildwood Wolves beach volleyball team closed out their season with a fun and competitive day on the sand, participating in a 4s tournament that gave players a new team dynamic and a great way to end the year.
The freshman boys showed grit and determination, battling through three tough pool matches. They pulled off impressive wins against Mira Costa and Windward in hard-fought games, and narrowly lost to Redondo in a nail-biter, 28–25.
Varsity boys, led by seniors Luca M. ‘26 and Noam L.-V. ‘26, played strong throughout the day. Despite a tough loss to Viewpoint after leading for most of the match, the team held their own against powerhouse programs like Peninsula and Windward. Noam led in assists and blocks, while Luca dominated in kills, showcasing strong leadership in their final beach outing.
Middle School Swimming
Our “Water Wolves” also made quite a splash this season. Battling through chilly conditions at the final championship meet, the swimmers stayed focused, supported one another, and delivered strong performances to close out the season. The boys 200 medley relay of Henry K. ‘31 , Julian T. ‘31 , Ting-Yi N. ‘30 and Archie P. ‘31 and the girls 100 free relay of Talia T. ‘30, Malin S. ‘30, Lila Y. ‘30, and Fiona Z. ‘32 were both awarded the bronze medal for their 3rd place finishes, recording season best times in both events.
“It’s been incredible to see our athletes compete with such focus and heart this fall,” said Athletics Director Billy DuMone. “Whether it was a first meet or a championship run, our Wolves supported one another and represented Wildwood with pride all season long.”
Our Wolves set a high bar this fall—and we can’t wait to see them rise to new challenges this winter.
