Meet Jennifer DuBois, Elementary School Educational Technology Coach

The importance of technology in education has increased exponentially over the past few years—and with that, so too has the need for expertise and leadership for incorporating it in meaningful, age-appropriate ways. As Wildwood’s Elementary Educational Technology Coach, Jennifer combines her passion for technology and progressive education to empower teachers and students to find healthy and radical ways to think about, carefully embrace, and actively create new technologies. 

"I appreciate the chance to work closely with teachers and help them integrate technology into their lessons in meaningful ways,” Jennifer says. “Just as importantly, I love guiding students as they explore technology not just as consumers, but as creative problem-solvers—building the skills and mindset they’ll need to shape the future with intention and care."

When it comes to teaching projects, Jennifer highlights the dynamic nature of Wildwood's approach: "The beauty of Wildwood projects lies in their ever-changing and progressive nature. They adapt to the class, the teacher, and the diverse dynamics of our students, all while integrating the latest research, and global discoveries, and aligning with our standards."

Throughout her 17-year tenure at Wildwood, Jennifer has taken on multiple roles, including Associate Teacher and Head Teacher Librarian, as well as being a critical part of our Multicultural Leadership, Digital Citizenship, and DEIB Curriculum teams.

"I was initially drawn to Wildwood because of its progressive approach to education, as well as its strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) work," Jennifer says. "Over the years, I've stayed at Wildwood because of the incredible sense of community. The people here, both the students and the faculty, are passionate about learning and actively working to create a more equitable and inclusive community, which makes Wildwood a truly special place."

Jennifer earned both a BA and an MA in Education from California State University, Long Beach. She also holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Teacher Librarian Credential.

Beyond school, Jennifer enjoys learning the tactics and strategies of chess, visiting libraries, and spending time at the beach with her family.
