Athletics Calendar

Through every season, every match, and every play, our Wolves gave us plenty to howl about this year! This year’s accomplishments included 36 All-League honors, two League MVPs, four league championship teams, and four teams plus two individual athletes advancing to CIF playoffs. Along the way, our student athletes also achieved countless personal bests and broke multiple school records. Congratulations to all of our Wolves on an incredible year of hard work, growth, and achievement!

Wildwood athletes are wrapping up an exciting spring season with a number of standout performances! Our middle school teams made strong playoff runs in boys volleyball, girls beach volleyball, and tennis, while 8th grader Julia S. '30 captured the league golf championship for the second year in a row! On the track, the Wolves brought home an impressive collection of medals at league finals, including two golds from Sunday P. '30 in the mile and 800. Meanwhile, our upper school tennis team capped off an outstanding season by qualifying for the CIF playoffs, and just narrowly missed advancing after an incredibly competitive match against Chadwick. Likewise, our beach volleyball pairs of Daphne L. '27/Scarlet M. A. '27 and Quinn S. '29/Sophia N. '29 earned well-deserved spots in the CIF Pairs Tournament, where they competed against some of Southern California’s top talent. Not to be outdone—every member of our upper school “Water Wolves” swim team earned a medal at league finals, with Isaac R. '27 winning the 100m freestyle and qualifying for CIF prelims! Congratulations to all of our student-athletes on an incredible season!

Wildwood Athletics is on a roll! Our boys varsity volleyball delivered a thrilling five-set victory over Santiago High School in the first round of CIF playoffs—an impressive win against a much larger program. They’ll hit the court again Friday night (May 1) for Round 2 of CIF playoffs in Montebello. Tickets are required and may be purchased in advance here. A special shout-out also goes to our girls beach volleyball team, who advanced all the way to CIF quarterfinals where they faced a tough loss from Coastal Christian. Congratulations on an amazing season! In other news, our varsity doubles tennis team of Felix T. S. '29 and Sebastian Z. '29 has advanced to the league semifinals and competes today at UCLA, while in middle school golf, Julia S. '30 is headed to the finals this Saturday after shooting a strong 4-over at the league tournament. Let’s keep it going, Wolves! 

Our spring season is in full swing, and there’s plenty to celebrate! On the courts, Kian P. '26 and Will S. '27 are leading varsity tennis in dominant fashion—both remain undefeated in sets this season. Track & Field is also on a roll, with eight personal records and five medals at the Santa Monica Invitational, plus new school records from Micah A. '30 (high jump) and Sunday P. '30 (mile). In the pool, Isaac R. '27 and Ethan M. '29 have already hit CIF qualifying times. Lastly, a huge shoutout to our girls varsity beach volleyball team, who capped an undefeated league season with a 3-2 win over New Roads to claim the league championship and advance to CIF playoffs! Our newest Athletics newsletter features more highlights, program information,  and updates on alumni continuing to make their mark in collegiate athletics. Read the latest issue here! 

As spring break approaches, Wildwood athletes are stacking up wins! Varsity girls beach volleyball battled past New Roads and Rolling Hills Prep in back-to-back victories, while our varsity boys indoor volleyball team completed the New Roads sweep with a strong 3-1 match. Meanwhile, our tennis team is dominating league play with an incredible 40-8 set record in wins over CAMS and New Roads. Track and field is also heating up, with eight of our athletes posting personal record bests at last weekend’s Thousand Oaks Invitational. 

Don’t let the rainy weather fool you—our spring athletics season is officially here! Wildwood is fielding teams in girls beach volleyball, boys indoor volleyball, tennis, golf, track and field, and swimming—meaning there’s plenty of opportunities to “howl” for our Wolves across every field, court, and course! 

A Week of Grit, Goals, and Gratitude:​​​ Thanks to everyone who came out to support our upper school athletes at Winter Sports Fest! While we faced some tough losses, our Wolves are back with a vengeance this week. Our middle school soccer team advanced to the finals after a dramatic 3–2 victory over Lighthouse, powered by stellar defense from Jackson N. ’31 and a hat trick by Beckett B. ‘30. Meanwhile, both our upper school girls and boys basketball teams closed out their seasons with wins—a fitting way to mark Senior Night, complete with heartfelt tributes to our graduating seniors: Lily S. ‘26, Luc B. ‘26, Bowden E. '26, and Nate S. '26. Congratulations to you all! 

Our winter sports season is heating up! This season, we’re fielding middle school and varsity teams in girls soccer, girls basketball, boys soccer, and boys basketball. Meanwhile, our elementary athletes are honing their skills in our seasonal volleyball clinic, keeping that Wildwood volleyball pipeline strong! Come out and howl for our Wolves!

Playoff season is officially here! As our girls varsity volleyball team continues their quest for glory in tonight’s Round 2 of CIF playoffs, our other teams are wrapping up the fall season on a high note! Coming off last week’s meet where five runners earned medals, varsity cross-country is heading into its most prestigious and challenging competition of the year: the Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational. Meanwhile, middle school cross-country is showing great momentum as they gear up for league finals. In middle school girls volleyball, the 7th and 8th grade “A” team closed out its regular season with two wins in its final three matches—earning a spot in the Pacific Basin League playoffs. Lastly, our “Water Wolves” are making waves, breaking records with first-place finishes in multiple heats at last weekend’s meet at Crossroads, setting them up well for league finals in November. Good luck to all our teams in this exciting final stretch of the fall season!

Girls varsity volleyball continues their tradition of excellence, qualifying for CIF playoffs and advancing to the second round! The team defeated Valley Christian with a sharp 3-0 win in their first playoff game. Come fill the stands as they battle Malibu on Thursday, Oct. 23 (6 p.m.) at Malibu High School (30215 Morning View Dr., Malibu, 90265).
