Elementary Enrichment and After Care

A rich array of fun learning experiences are offered each trimester through the After School Enrichment program. Classes are designed for kindergarteners through 5th graders and reserved for current Wildwood students only.

Weekly courses range from physical activities, arts, experimental science, technology, and literature.

Most classes are taught by Wildwood teachers. Class offerings are published at the beginning of the school year, in the winter, and in the spring. There is a fee for each course, and online registration is required.

K-12 class offerings range from Mandarin to drawing and design, from beginning keyboard to aquatic science explorations. Click here to view class and registration information. Classes are taught by Wildwood faculty, alumni, and respected outside teachers and organizations. Enrichment classes meet once a week for one hour; there are a total of eight meetings per class.

All classes are contingent upon enrollment and space is limited.

Wildwood provides After Care for all elementary students from regular school dismissal until 6 p.m., most school days, for an additional fee. For many of our children, After Care resembles the neighborhood of years gone by.

In addition to time for homework, there’s outdoor time, games, quiet time with friends, and time for imaginative play on Big Yard and on the sport courts.

Parents may purchase After Care days in advance for a reduced rate or choose to be charged for drop in days through the Business Office.

Beginning as early as mid-August before the start of the school year, Wildwood provides full-day (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.) supervision for all elementary students on many days when school is not in session.

The program includes optional activities and supervised free play, and is taught by After Care teachers and regular substitute teachers who are familiar with Wildwood’s program and students.

There is an additional fee for the Vacation Program, and online pre-registration is encouraged. After Care is also available on Vacation Program days, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., charged separately.
