Upper School Admission Process

Once your submitted online inquiry is processed, you will receive login credentials by email for the Wildwood School Admission Portal. 

Click here to log into the Wildwood School Admission Portal and access the application, school forms, and to check the progress of your online application.

Once signed onto your Wildwood School Admission Portal, you may locate your child’s checklist by clicking on their name in the upper lefthand corner. The checklist can be found under the “Admission Progress” tab.

Please join us for one of many events. We invite parents/guardians as well as students applying to grades 6-11 to explore Wildwood and browse our events to hear from those who know it best: students, alumni, and school leadership. ***NOTE: A request information form must be submitted first before you may register for a middle and upper school event.

The online application fee is $125 and is non-refundable. A fee waiver is available upon request. Please contact the admission office for more details. All middle and upper school applications must be submitted by Dec. 13, 2021.

Once your application has been submitted, we will contact you to schedule an interview. Interviews are scheduled Monday through Friday during school hours and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. While we prefer all parents/guardians to be at the interview, at least one must attend.

Applicants are also required to present and discuss a project that reflects their academic or extracurricular passion. This project should reflect a sustained interest and must be the student’s own work. This project will not be assessed. Rather, it will be used as a conversation starter with the interviewer.

Request transcripts and recommendations from your child's current school in early December. This allows your child’s teacher to establish a relationship with your child and get to know them before completing the recommendation.

To submit the recommendation forms, either:

• Sign into your Wildwood School Admission Portal and request the English, Math, and Administrator Recommendation Forms.
  OR

• Download and email the recommendation forms to your current school. The school will return the forms directly to Wildwood.

  **If your child has the same teacher for all subjects, please have the teacher complete forms for both subjects.

Please Note:

• Parents/guardians are responsible for making sure the forms are received by Wildwood by the due date of Jan. 14, 2022.

• You may track the progress of your child’s application by logging into the Wildwood School Admission Portal and reviewing the checklist. 

• Our office will contact you in early February if any required forms are missing from an applicant's file.

Applicants for middle and upper school will be electronically notified through the online Wildwood School Admission Portal on March 11, 2022 at 5 p.m. PST. Parents/guardians must reply by March 18, 2022.

If we have placed your child on the waitlist, we will keep the waitlist active until the end of August, and will contact you if space opens up. Please do let us know if you wish to remain on the waitlist.

Ninth grade is the primary entry point for upper school. We admit approximately 10-20 students to ninth grade. In grades 10 and 11, spaces become available through attrition. We encourage students and families to apply and connect with the admission office.

ISEE and SSAT scores will not be required or considered in the admission process for the 2022-2023 school year.

The process can begin at any time. There is so much to see on our website and social media. Our application will go live on Aug. 1.

The application deadline is Monday, Dec. 13 by 11:59 p.m., PST. This is the due date for the application itself. Supplemental materials are due Jan. 14, 2022.

Admission decisions will be released on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 5 p.m., PST.

Siblings of current Wildwood students are given priority consideration for admission. While Wildwood School is a good match for the majority of siblings, acceptance is not guaranteed as the admission process takes into account a complex set of criteria.
